Important things to note about your credit limit
You can only request to decrease your credit limit. Credit limit increases are not available at this time.
How to decrease your credit limit
Follow these steps to request a decrease to your credit card limit via the MyCard App or MyCard Online.
- Log in to the MyCard App or MyCard Online
- Select Account Details
- Select Change credit limit
- Follow the prompts to select your new credit limit (decrease only)

Please note, MyCard Plus, Standard, Platinum, Platinum Qantas and Ready Credit are no longer for sale.

- MyCard Prestige: $20,000 to $100,000
- MyCard Prestige Qantas: $20,000 to $100,000
- MyCard Premier: $10,000 to $100,000
- MyCard Premier Qantas: $10,000 to $100,000
- MyCard Rewards: $2,000 to $100,000
- MyCard Clear: $2,000 to $100,000
- MyCard Simplicity: $2,000 to $100,000
- MyCard Plus: $2,000 to $7,500
- MyCard Standard: $2,000 to $20,000
- MyCard Platinum: $6,000 to $100,000
- MyCard Platinum Qantas: $6,000 to $100,000
MyCard Ready Credit
- Minimum limit amount: $5,000
- Maximum limit amount: $75,000
The credit limit process
Decreasing your credit limit
You can request to decrease your credit limit using the MyCard App or MyCard Online. Please note, for credit limit decreases, you can't go any lower than your current outstanding balance or the minimum credit limit applicable to your MyCard.
